This is an original oil painting of two kittens by the famous German female artist Meta Plückebaum (1876 Dortmund - 1945 Düsseldorf). She painted in the late 19th and first half of the 20th century in Düsseldorf and, in addition to portraits of people, created many animal portraits, especially of cats. Her work is known worldwide. Her paintings and etchings featuring cats and dogs are highly valued at international auctions.
