Description from the seller
WARNING! At the moment we do not ship to GERMANY, AUSTRIA, FRANCE and SWITZERLAND. This decision is due to the recent local packaging regulations (EPR), whose high compliance costs and taxation do not currently allow us to guarantee service in these countries.
We ship only within the EU.
Unique and original work inspired by the poetics of Luigi Ghirri.
Mixed media on panel: enamel, acrylic, oil pastels, spray varnish on a 30x40 cm board.
Glossy, transparent fixative coating on the surface. The gold paint, being metallized and reflective, may vary the visual effect depending on the light; it is therefore normal for the painting to appear slightly different from the photographs.
Initials on the lower edge and signature on the back.
The certificate of authenticity will be included.
Unframed
It will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number.
On the back of the board there is a hole that can be used to hang it on the wall simply with a nail. The edges of the board (1.5 cm) are painted, to create a visual effect that simulates the look of a frame, thus providing depth and an elegant contrast between the work and its surroundings, as if it were enclosed in its own space. Obviously the board can also be freely framed according to your taste.
For Santoleri, the landscape is not a mere naturalistic view, but a mental and emotional structure, an “inner geography” that reflects moods, silences and synthetic visions of reality. His painting is characterized by an essential and contemplative approach: forms reduced to the essential, clear contours, sober color fields, in a constant tension between formal rigor and lyrical depth.
His works evoke suspended, almost dreamlike atmospheres, where light has a symbolic rather than descriptive function, and every element – a hill, a tree, a house – becomes an archetype. His style, balancing visual minimalism and emotional intensity, recalls certain outcomes of abstract landscape painting and twentieth-century Italian painting, while maintaining a wholly personal voice.
In 2022 he was selected for the prestigious Premio Marche – Biennale d’Arte Contemporanea, a recognition that confirms the value of his research in the panorama of Italian contemporary art.
His works are present in private collections and exhibition spaces in Italy and abroad, across Europe, the United States and Asia, testimony to the universality of his visual language.
