With a highly realistic aesthetic, this drawing is a study of the nude executed in dry pastels.
It depicts a nude woman standing, breasts facing forward, caressing her hair.
Verssan deliberately cropped the face of the female figure, leaving ample room for imagination and fantasies.
The light caresses the curves of this woman with a hint of erotism. The pastel handling gives the piece a voluptuous and soft quality.

Verssan finds in pastel a way to own the body through plays of curves, vacuums and fullness, shadows and light, by rubbing, blending and blowing the material onto the paper. The artist treats his subjects using tonal variations while playing with the color of the support in warm gray tones, revealing both softness and delicacy but also strength and virility.
