Max Modolo presents Darth Ming · Porcellana, a unique porcelain sculpture in blue cobalt on white with real gold, signed inside, 2025, 24 cm wide, 20 cm deep, 30 cm high, weight 2.4 kg.
Description from the seller
Darth Vader’s helmet in porcelain decorated with real gold
Unique sculpture crafted entirely in porcelain, hand-decorated in the traditional cobalt blue on white style inspired by Ming Chinese ceramics.
The helmet is embellished with fine decorations and real gold filigree in a third firing, applied and fired at a low temperature to achieve that characteristic metallic shine.
The piece features a refined, controlled craquelure typical of porcelain, which gives the piece additional character and value.
The detail of the Eastern landscapes (mountains, pines, pagodas and figures) contrasts strikingly with the iconic shape of Darth Vader’s helmet, creating a fascinating dialogue between contemporary pop culture and millennia-old ceramic tradition.

Overall dimensions (with base): 22 × 20 × h 30 cm
