Laure de las Moras (Spain, emerging contemporary artist)
Title: “Axarquía Eterna”
Year: 2025
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions of the work: 65 cm x 54 cm
Approximate weight: 1.8 kg
Framed artwork.
The work presents a contemporary composition with an expressive and cubist language inspired by the Axarquía region in Málaga. Through symbols representative of the territory, such as the Mediterranean Sea, traditional architecture, the fortress, popular music, and the goldfinch, the painting builds a personal vision where memory, landscape, and identity fuse in a single image.
Made with acrylic on canvas, it combines intense color planes, structural lines, and a dynamic geometry that organizes the composition into interconnected visual fragments. The blues evoke the proximity of the sea, while the ochres, greens, and yellows reflect the light, vegetation, and the Mediterranean character of the region.
The piece constitutes a homage to the Axarquía, the artist’s adopted land, and to the cultural and landscape wealth that defines this corner of southern Spain.
Signed by the artist on the back.
Includes a certificate of authenticity signed.
Condition: good overall condition.
Provenance: private collection of the artist.
The work will be carefully shipped protected and packaged, ready to hang.
