High-grade rare split-seconds chronograph with constant force, Vernier indicator
Case: Steel, smooth, steel dust cover, screwed, crown lockable.
Dial: silvered, Arabic numerals, 30-minute counter, small seconds, Vernier indicator, blued baton hands.
Movement: 2/3 plate movement, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 23 jewels, finely matte-finished, angled chronograph components, column wheel, polished dual-armed chronograph lever with a column wheel for the split-seconds chronograph, mirror-polished screws, screw-down balance cock, blued balance spring, Rücker fine adjustment, ruby endstone on the balance.
This pocket watch chronograph has been used by Longines since 1968 at major world sporting events, such as the Winter Olympics in Grenoble. Longines designates the Caliber 262 as the most accurate movement ever produced by Longines. The Vernier indicator is a Longines patent and is only found on these watches.
