Description from the seller

A remarkable and substantial Red Onyx freeform from the mineral-rich region of Helmand, Afghanistan. Expertly polished to reveal an extraordinary landscape of earthy burgundy, mauve, cream, golden ochre, and olive-green tones, this impressive specimen displays intricate natural patterns, brecciated textures, orbicular formations, and flowing agate-like banding.

The front face showcases a deep reddish-purple field accented by golden mineral inclusions, natural vugs, and picturesque abstract motifs reminiscent of desert landscapes. The reverse reveals striking orbicular structures and concentric formations, adding depth and visual interest. One side displays beautiful translucent banding with layered chalcedony-like patterns, creating a dramatic contrast with the opaque jasper body.

Carefully shaped into a sculptural freeform, the piece stands securely on a polished flat base, making it an exceptional display specimen for collectors, interior designers, and enthusiasts of decorative minerals. Its large size and rich coloration ensure a commanding presence in any collection or interior setting.
