- I created my image for Falen Art to build a unique, modern, and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a journey.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis studio in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, nobility, translucency, intimacy with glaze, and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a clean design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis refined her ceramic studies in various studios and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine-l’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores various techniques as a self-taught and has a marked fascination with raku, a mysterious blend of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the potter’s dream and metamorphosis.
