- I created my image for Falen Art to build a unique, modern, and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and my values.
After graphic design studies in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a journey.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis studio in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucency, its intimacy with glaze, and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a clean design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis refined her ceramics study in various studios and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine l’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores various techniques autodidactically and has a marked fascination for raku, a mysterious encounter of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the ceramist’s dream and metamorphosis.
