The Spotlight on the Classics: A Legacy in Art

For the collector, a beautiful English work, a view of Dover, by the renowned city and seaside painter Willem Heytman.

The painting measures 60 x 90 cm and is signed on both the front and the back and is in excellent condition.

As a descendant of the Dutchman Johan Berthold Jongkind 1819-1891, we already see from a young age school notebooks full of pages with drawings made during lessons.

After his schooling, he begins to experiment with pastels, watercolour, and oil paint, and he concentrates mainly on the latter.

His first exhibition takes place in 1976 in Middelburg, Zeeland.

In that province he still lives.

The painting is carefully packaged and sent by registered mail.

Het schilderij meet 60 x 90 cm en is zowel aan de voor en achterkant gesigneerd en is in een uitstekende conditie.

Als nazaat van de Hollandse Fransman ,Johan Berthold Jongkind 1819-1891 zien wij reeds op jonge leeftijd al schoolschriften vol bladzijden met tekeningen die tussen de lessen gemaakt werden.
Na zijn schooltijd gaat hij experimenteren met pastel, aquarel en olieverf en hij gaat zich vooral op het laatste toeleggen.
Zijn eerste expositie vindt in 1976 in Middelburg ,Zeeland,plaats . 
In die provincie woont hij nog steeds.
