Yayoi Kusama & Harrie Verstappen - Polka Dots Bricks

Harrie Verstappen worked with Yayoi Kusama in the mid-1960s. This print was the first one he made in 2020 after he had re-found his slides. The photo is affixed to MDF and signed by him on the back. He had the stains – the ones Kusama made – on the slide (!) enhanced. The print retains the roughness and contrast of the slide. In later publications the photo has been improved thanks to AI and has slightly less contrast. Verstappen had previously preferred this high-contrast version, which makes it appear more abstract. The photo has no glass or frame, and can be hung directly on the wall. Note: the edges of the board are slightly dusty.
