An English-language Bible, translated as “The Old and New Testament,” bound in leather with gold-decorated bronze ornamentation and a clasp. This Bible was given as a gift to Reverend Robt. Pitching by Decary Gaskell in 1876 (he is related to Elisabeth Gaskell, a novelist of the Victorian era). The Bible includes dozens of map illustrations and weighs 1,000 g. Note that the binding shows a tear, otherwise normal signs of aging from use.

Een in engels gebruikte  vertaalde bijbel "het oude en nieuwe testament" in lederen band met goudversierde bronzen versiering en sluiting.
Deze bijbel werd als geschenk gegeven aan "Reverend Robt. Pitching door Decary Gaskell in 1876( is familie van Elisabeth Gaskell, romanschrijfster tijden de Victoriaanse tijd.)
De bijbel heeft tientallen illustraties van landkaarten en is 1000 gr zwaar.
Noteer dat de band een scheur vertoont , anders gewone ouderdomsverschijselen door het gebruik
