Katje bij volle maan is an original oil painting by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt (born 1974), dating from 2020+, hand-signed, multicoloured, 20 × 15 cm, depicting animals, originating from the Netherlands, sold directly by the artist and framed.
Description from the seller
Visible part: 13.5 x 8.5 cm
Panel: 14 x 9 cm
Frame: approx. 20 x 15 x 1 cm
Contrasting with the beautifully richly decorated ceramic red frame, a lovely nocturnal green little painting of a cat in gray tones. A charming small work painted with a fluid brushstroke by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt. The frame has a damage in the upper right corner (see photos).
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). She uses Borgen Lindhardt as her signature name and is known for her “kimono-series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. She creates oil paintings in which old masters, sometimes combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies and figurines and animals), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visibly thick brushstroke. And she alternates between detailed and imaginative works and loose, sketchy paintings.
Comes directly from the artist.
Framed in a beautiful bright, warm-red ceramic floral frame. However, with a crack in the upper right corner (see photos of the frame).
Will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
The painting is protected by a layer of retouch varnish. Please, after drying time (about a year), apply your own final varnish to preserve gloss and color.
