Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Chin’Art" - 2/20
When origin becomes an argument.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Counterfeit Original, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of the codes of luxury, perceived value, and the slogans that govern our era.
"Aurora Chin’Art" – Chin’Art condenses the era into two simple, almost provocative words, engraved as a commercial givenness… and yet transformed into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, at the border of a manifesto.
On the base, the message is blunt:
CHIN’ART.
And around it, unvarnished, the discourse sharpens:
HANDMADE.
But the word is altered, the HAND is crossed out. Then the mention: IN CHINA.
A cold, assumed statement.
A punchline that sounds like a modern rule of the game: what is displayed… is not always what is sold.
The day: a mirror-like, brilliant icon, almost clinical.
The night: a northern lights of reflections and flashes, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: the spectacle on one side, the promise on the other.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.

- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fading transitions, simple transitions)
- Electrical power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a high standard of detail and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and delighted gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether as a gift, a memory or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will surely find your favorite among our works thanks to the diversity of our pieces. Indeed, Pope channels his passion for urban art through street art and pop art (in limited or non-limited editions), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, the products of the food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot are clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
