Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Original oil painting by Carlo Trevisan titled Gallo Perone (Pearrooster), 40 × 30 × 4 cm on canvas, created in 2025, depicting a surreal fusion of animal and plant, signed by hand, in excellent condition, gallery-stretched on the edges and ready to hang, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
The painting stands out for an original and ironic fusion of natural elements, merging the animal world with the vegetal in perfect surrealist style. The body of a yellow, ripe pear smoothly transforms upward into the proud profile of a rooster with pure white plumage. The animal's head is characterized by a comb and wattles of a vivid and intense red, which immediately catch the viewer's attention.
The work is dominated by a strong volumetric contrast. A decisive light comes from the left, illuminating the golden belly of the "pear" and the whiteness of the feathers, while the right side fades into a deep shadow, giving it three-dimensionality and an extraordinary stage presence.
The background is completely dark, almost black, a minimalist choice that eliminates any spatial distraction and makes the bright colors and the plasticity of the foreground forms stand out.
A refined piece that plays with optical illusion and visual parody, capable of lending a touch of elegant irony to the observer.
