Description from the seller

Elegant and rare burn-in perfume burner (or table incense burner) from the Art Nouveau period (late 19th – early 20th century), of French origin.
This decorative object consists of a pierced pedestal with fluid and dynamic lines, typical of the era's “whiplash” style, topped by a bowl. The removable lid, richly worked in relief, features a naturalistic motif of flowers and foliage, crowned by a fretel (pull button) in the shape of a flower or lotus bud. The openings of the lid allow the harmonious diffusion of wisps of smoke or fragrances.
The object presents a magnificent original patina with iridescent reflections (shades of blue, green and violet), bearing witness to its authenticity and history.
Marks and Stamps:
Stamped “MADE IN FRANCE” under the base and on the inner rim of the lid.
Presence of a small square master/factory mark from the period on the rim of the lid
Very good overall vintage condition. Minor wear in places revealing the base metal, which gives the object a superb character and an authentic patina. No major losses or deformations.
