Description from the seller
We are offering an original work full of charm and elegance for ninth art collectors: an original drawing signed by the Italian maestro Alessandro Barbucci.
Celebrated for his unparalleled sense of dynamic graphics and the sensuality of his female characters (he is notably behind the bestselling W.I.T.C.H., Sky-Doll and Ekhö World Among Mirror with Christophe Arleston), Barbucci presents here a very beautiful bust portrait of a playful young woman. Wearing a floral headdress and a dress with puffed sleeves, her proud stance and sparkling gaze immediately recall the fantastical universe of one of his flagship worlds.
Technique: Pencil sketch with graphite, fluid inking and stunning direct-color highlights (ochre/yellow tones) to structure volumes and light.
Dimensions: 21.5 x 31.5 cm (dedication) drawn by Barbucci on a loose page from a comic album.
Condition:
Excellent condition. The paper is very fresh and clean, with no creases or tears. The contrasts between the pencil lines and the color touches are perfectly preserved.
