The nature of the technique I use makes each piece in the series a unique, unrepeatable work. The dimensions and texture of the final piece may differ slightly from the photos and the stated measurements.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this piece a reclaiming of the self over the perils of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion interrupting the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as an assembly of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
