DIVA D'INCHIOSTRO
The work is a contemporary portrait that celebrates the charm of female identity as a poetic, symbolic, and mutable construction. The protagonist emerges from a painterly material rich in stratifications, as if it had been shaped by ink itself. The face, deliberately hidden behind glasses decorated with abstract patterns, becomes a metaphor for what cannot be fully known. An invitation to reflect on the contrast between what we show to the world and what we keep inside us. The ink, the element evoked by the title, represents the mark, the writing of one’s own story, but also the ability to transform, to blur, and reinvent oneself over time.
The palette dominated by white, black, and gray is interrupted by the vibrant red of the lips, a symbol of voice, desire, and self-affirmation. The flower in the hair introduces a dimension of grace and fragility, in dialogue with the iconic strength of the figure.
