Description from the seller
Practice of Notarial Chancery, Very useful and profitable and necessary for all those who wish to practice this art. Timely for all other persons. Described by Dirk Hendrik van der Mast [Binding:] Word-book/ Where in all the technical terms of Notarial Practice, as well as other foreign words, such as Latin and French, were translated into Dutch. This latest print is more than a half enlarged by a Lover of the Dutch language. Here is also added a Table of all the legal terms of the science of law by my Lord Hugo Grotius, likewise artfully translated into Dutch. All Practitioners, Stewards, Merchants, and other Lovers, very useful - Rotterdam, Isaac van Waesbergen, 1645 - 2nd edition - 324 pp - 19th-century leather binding
Fair/moderate. Signature on flyleaf. Title page repaired (see photos). Restorations: right edge of first leaf "to the gracious reader", corner of the following leaf; right edge of the last two text leaves and of the only available index leaf that was accidentally bound between pages 320 and 321 as well as right margin (2 cm) of three leaves scattered through the book. Gap (5 x 0.6 cm) in the bottom corner of the text from pages 7 through 20 and from leaf 25/26. Loss of the corner of about twenty leaves (with loss of a letter on some). Right edge of about twenty leaves somewhat frayed/crack(s) of a few mm. Right margin pages very slightly trimmed.
