XTC created a glass, plastic and metal sculpture titled Mc Hermès full gold, measuring 27 cm high, 15 cm wide and 15 cm deep, edition 3/20, signed by hand, France, 2026, with a glass dome and a COA provided.
Description from the seller
Fully gold Mc Hermes cone by XTC.
A re-appropriation of a McDonald’s cone, the intersection of luxury and mass consumption.
This is not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; everything was created from plastic materials and painted by XTC, with very shiny faux gold diamonds!
The glass cloche is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered out of 20 on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(the piece sent may not be the one in the photo)
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration became a passion that was meant to come to fruition.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, fitting into the Pop Art movement, through the appropriation of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He is inspired, among others, by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
