XTC, Mc Banksy Red Boxed, a 2026 edition 14/20, sculpture in plastic and wood, 27 × 27 × 6 cm, framed in a boxed frame with plastic glass, signed by hand and with COA.
Description from the seller
Cornet de Mc Banksy in a display frame for a wall presentation by XTC.
Diversion/rewriting of a McDonald's cone, all the delicacy of Banksy’s work with the abundance of McDo, represented by the quantity of hearts.
This is not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; everything was created from plastic materials and painted by XTC.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without, as shown in the first and third photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The piece shipped is not necessarily the one pictured but will be similar.
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has evolved into a passion that was destined to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the détournement (subversion) of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or even caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
Any flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
