Table centerpiece in chased brass decorated with cherries, removable glass – Late 19th century
Description:
Beautiful table basket (bride’s basket) in chased brass, late 19th – early 20th century.
Rectangular frame with repoussé cherry branch and foliage motif, curved movable handle. Interior lined with a removable flat glass insert.
Dimensions:
24 cm (length) × 14 cm (width) × 9 cm (height).
Handle raised: 19 cm
Condition: Good original condition with a lovely patina on the brass. Glass intact. Normal wear for the period.
Decorative and functional piece, typical of Victorian/Edwardian table service. Perfect as a centerpiece or candy dish.
