Details of the Work========================
Title: IVSTITIA
Year of production: 2024
Technique: Oil, acrylic and pigments on canvas
Dimensions: Canvas/support size: 60 × 60 × 2 cm. Unframed. The edges are painted
"This square-format work (60x60 cm) is a sophisticated exercise in contemporary pictorial archaeology. It depicts the face of a classical sculpture, Justice, emerging from a background of deep blues, but what truly defines the piece is its meticulous texturing process.
Unlike conventional street art, this painting does not use splashes, but an intentional and controlled craquelure. This technique aims to emulate the natural wear of ancient frescoes, allowing the cracks to reveal the different underlying color layers. The result is a surface rich in textures that invites the viewer to explore the “history” of the painting itself, as if it were a recovered and recontextualized relic"
