A full-size 4/4 violin labeled Gaetano Antoniazzi 4/4 with an inscription Nicolas Vuillaume fecit a Mirecourt anno 1871, in very good condition, featuring a spruce top and two-piece flamed maple back, weighing about 0.5 kg, and supplied with a chin rest and strings, tested and working.
Description from the seller
You are bidding on a full-size (4/4) violin, labeled: “Nicolas Vuillaume fecit a Mirecourt anno 1871.”
Condition:
The violin shows some age-related wear and minor imperfections to the original golden-brown, slightly reddish varnish, consistent with its age. There are no cracks.
Description:
The top is made from high-quality, well-selected spruce with a fine, even grain. The back is crafted from two pieces of softly flamed maple, with matching sides and a typically French-carved scroll. The purfling is neatly executed, reflecting solid craftsmanship.
The instrument is in playing condition and ready to use. It produces a powerful, warm, sweet, and rich tone with good projection.
Measurements: total length 589 mm, back length 357 mm. Upper bouts 165 mm, middle bouts 113 mm, lower bouts 206 mm (full size).
Shipping:

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
