Box (2) - Watch holder and matchbox - Wood

Two rare Sorrentine boxes made in Sorrento in the second half of the nineteenth century. The boxes feature on the lid the classic Sorrentine scenes. The first is a display case for a clock; the upper part, hinged open, bears the inscription Sorrento and a dancing scene, with dimensions: height 2.5 cm, width 8 cm, length 10 cm. It is in good condition.
The second is a match holder; the upper part, opening with a slot, bears a female figure, with measurements: height 1.5 cm, width 3.5 cm, depth 6.5 cm (approx.). It is in excellent condition. N.B. HANDLE THE OBJECTS WITH CARE DUE TO AGE (over 100 years).
