Oil on cardboard, titled “Like a Dying Ember”, produced in Spain in 1930–1940, hand-signed, original edition, framed measuring 51 × 70 cm (image 36 × 55 cm), weighs 3.0 kg, in good condition, sold with frame by Galería.
Description from the seller
- Oil on cardboard. Scratched signature on the painting.
- The rose does not sleep; it fades like a ember in the ashes. Its edges, which once burned with a vivid carmine, are now slowly carbonizing, turning black, crispy and brittle. All the heat hides in the center of the chalice, leaving behind twisted petals that fall with the dead weight of extinguished coal. It no longer smells like a garden, but like something dense, almost smoky: the trace of a beauty that spent all its fuel and now, in its last breath, yields to the cold of the shadows.
- Unframed image dimensions: 36 x 55 cm / 51 x 70 cm with exclusive custom frame.
