Description from the seller
Bamér is an emerging artist on the contemporary scene, known for his expressive research that blends traditional and modern techniques into an original and engaging visual language.
Crown among the crowd
In this work, Bamèr uses the strong contrast of black and white and a dense interweaving of geometric lines to give life to a dynamic, layered composition. At the center of the canvas emerges a stylized face, topped by a crown: an ancestral symbol of power, sovereignty, and distinction. However, the figure is not placed on a pedestal nor isolated from the rest of the composition; on the contrary, the lines that define its features blend, overlap, and merge with those of the faces and abstract shapes that surround it.
Meaning:
Crown among the crowd explores the concept of leadership intrinsically linked to the community. The crown indicates a higher moral, intellectual, or spiritual stature, the awareness of a guiding role or a strong individuality. Yet the artist's choice not to separate the sovereign from its visual context contains the true message of the work: despite this superiority, the protagonist remains inextricably part of the people. There is no detachment, no ivory tower. Its essence is shaped by the crowd itself, and its greatness does not reside in isolation, but in the ability to blend in, understand, and share the same living space as those around it. A sovereignty that does not impose itself from above, but lives and exists among the people.
The work is made entirely by hand with acrylic and spray paint on 100% cotton canvas. The overall dimensions are 110x110, including the space allocated for the framework; the visual surface measures 100x100 cm.
The finish is completed with a final protective varnish, which ensures its preservation over time.
The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, attestng its originality and unique value.
The piece will be shipped rolled up inside a rigid protective tube, placed in sturdy cardboard packaging (dimensions 10x10 cm), to ensure maximum safety during transport and to protect it from any shocks.
No frame.
Signed on the front and back with date.
