Andreu Alfaro (1929–2012) was a Spanish sculptor and one of the leading figures of modern abstract sculpture in Spain. Born in Valencia, he was largely self-taught and began his artistic career in the late 1950s, drawing inspiration from Constructivism, geometry, and industrial materials. His sculptures are characterized by elegant linear structures, rhythmic repetition, and a masterful exploration of light, movement, and space.
Alfaro gained international recognition through numerous exhibitions and three participations in the Venice Biennale (1966, 1976, and 1995).
