Description from the seller
Elegant original advertising manifesto created in 1988 for the prestigious “Journée du Grand Prix de Paris” sponsored by Louis Vuitton, a horse-racing and high-society event held at Longchamp Racecourse on June 26, 1988.
The work is signed on the plate by Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix-Dénériaz), a famous French illustrator internationally known for his iconic posters dedicated to the world of luxury, fashion, exclusive events and motorsport.
The manifesto presents a refined ’80s fashion aesthetic, strongly evocative of the French luxury universe of the era: a sophisticated female figure dressed in white gazes toward the horizon through a pair of binoculars, immersed in the exclusive atmosphere of Parisian racing.
The composition is notable for:
- strong minimalist elegance,
- an extremely balanced color palette,
- fashion editorial graphics typical of French luxury,
- great decorative and scenographic impact.
The image possesses a strong aesthetic presence and is today particularly appreciated both in contemporary poster collecting and in luxury and modernist interior design.
Particularly interesting is the fact that the manifesto appears published in a volume dedicated to the artist Razzia, as documented in the photographs of the lot, a detail that reinforces its collectible and documentary value.
