Genre scene with young ballerinas was executed in the middle of 1970s by renowned and good listed Ukrainian artist Yurij Wladimirovich Severin ( 1927 Charkov - after 1999 Kiew, Ukraine). He was landscape painter, illustrator and graphik artist , studied at the Art School in Charkov (till 1949 ),in 1949-52 - at the Art High institute in Kiew by Bondarenko, Dajtz. . Afterthen worked in Kiew and was popular as illustrator of Soviet life for famous humorous magazine "Peretz" ( English: Pepper).
His full biography in : "Lexicon of Ukrainian artists" , Kiew, 1973.
Inscription: signed cyrillic lower left.
Technique: oil on cardboard, framed
Measurements: unframed w 16 1/8" x h 24" (41 x 61 cm); framed 22 1/2" x 30 1/4" (57 x 77 cm)
