Benjamin Rabier - Gedeon / Roudoudou - 1923

Fascinating edition of this illustrated album by Benjamin Rabier, featuring two of the most endearing animal characters in the author's universe, the famous duck Gédéon and the dog Roudoudou, in an adventure where friendship, curiosity and everyday misadventures take center stage -

The story rests on the meeting and the relationships between these two heroes with different but complementary temperaments. Gédéon, always impulsive, adventurous and ready to dive into the most unforeseen situations, often leads his entourage into risky undertakings, while Roudoudou stands out more for his loyalty, generosity and good sense -

Together, they live a succession of episodes where games, travel, discoveries and comic incidents multiply. Each new initiative by Gédéon becomes an occasion for quiproquos, clumsiness or misadventures which the two companions try to get out of with courage and ingenuity -
