Sebastiano Plutino (Reggio Calabria, June 20, 1973) is an Italian contemporary painter and artist. After studying at the Liceo Artistico “Mattia Preti” in Reggio Calabria, he devoted himself entirely to painting, developing a personal stylistic voice that fuses figurative and informal elements. His work is characterized by a particular sensitivity toward the sea, nature, and Mediterranean culture: his “marine” scenes evoke meditative atmospheres, often dominated by bright skies, wide horizons, and waters in constant motion, in a painting that conveys mood and introspection. Alongside seascapes, Plutino creates portraits—often of female figures—and informal landscapes, using oils, enamels, and acrylics on panel or MDF, with decisive brushstrokes and dense, meaningful color stratifications. His career includes numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad: his works have been exhibited in galleries such as Galleria ArteToma (Reggio Calabria), OnArt Gallery (Florence), Galleria Serraino (Reggio Calabria) and at events such as ArtePadova and PaviArt.
