Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been active for years in the contemporary art world at an international level. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague and this month in Colling. It has been shown twice on Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. In addition, she has participated in various international biennials and her work is represented in several galleries in Europe.
With her latest collection, Nicole Lubbers clearly forges a new artistic path. While her international experience remains perceptible, she now consciously opts for silence, aging, and authenticity. In her most recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading and emotional resonance.
Using durable oil paint, acrylic and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between silence and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time and the human present.
The works are made on a stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and are presented intentionally without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tailor the artwork completely to his or her interior and feeling — with or without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer solely about the image, but also about feeling, memory and material. Her new series is an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics and personal expression — a rediscovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
