In the light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, structure and depth change; individual layers become more pronounced. The work appears spatial and physical – perception arises while walking, standing, and lingering.
Frequency NEON SKY — sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency NEON SKY is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I translate rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions generate tensions comparable to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Artwork details:
Title: Frequency NEON SKY
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & materials: Acrylic paint and heavy-gel structure paste on canvas, built up in layers with different spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlays with calm, pulsating tension.
Only high-quality materials are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide stretcher frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price). (Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The images were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the piece under direct or indirect light to fully reveal the color play and make the works come alive.
