For sale is an exquisite and heavy pair of decorative candlesticks from the Historicist period of the late 19th century.
The candelabra impress with their detailed and plastic rendering. The central design element of the perforated shaft is a artistically cast Mascaron (grotesque face), which is typical for the Renaissance- and Baroque-Renaissance revival of that era.
The square, curved base is four-footed and decorated with floral reliefs, volutes, and ornamentally pierced patterns. The upper part features a wide, relief-dropped dish and a classic vase-shaped nozzle.
A beautiful ensemble for collectors of historical bronzes and lovers of a classical interior.
