Being or Having is a painting made with book pages, playing cards and acrylic (mixed media), on a cotton canvas. It is varnished and signed on the front. The work is equipped with a back mounting system. It is provided with a certificate of authenticity. It has been exhibited in various places in France.

Born in 1988 in the Oise, Annabelle Amory has been drawing, painting and writing books since childhood. In the family, no one pursues artistic, musical or athletic activity. What matters in this environment is mainly university studies to finally have a “real” job. So Annabelle obeys and climbs the rungs: a BA in Art History and Archaeology in Amiens, an MA in Ancient Sciences in Lille, and finally the last stage: a PhD in Greek archaeology which she obtained in 2017. However, during her research, she did not stop painting and exhibiting whenever she had the chance. At the end of her thesis defense, she informs her jury: no, she will not pursue research but will attempt an artistic career. Annabelle then translates her own convictions into her path: art will be democratized or it will not be. She refuses to exhibit in Salons where the price of a stand is exorbitant, preferring to place her canvases in media libraries and municipal galleries.
