Cristallerie Empoli - Drinking set (10) - Crystal

Set of 10 clear crystal wine glasses, mouth-blown and hand-engraved. The distinctive element is the cup, finely hand-worked with a geometric pattern of matte facets (often described as a "honeycomb" or imprint), which creates a series of overlapping semicircles at the lower part and then opens into smooth vertical facets toward the rim. The stem features a short, rounded knop and is joined to the cup and the circular foot by a shaped "button". This grinding technique not only yields a beautiful light refraction but also ensures a solid grip. This is an authentic antique piece; the line and thickness hark back to early 20th-century pieces produced by Empoli Glassworks (Florence), which have been out of production for many years.
