In this work, two figures coexist in the same space; so close that they nearly touch, and yet separated by something invisible, something we have all felt at one time. One gazes upward, seeking. The other rests, surrendered or at peace. Between them there are no words, but there is an entire world.

Executed in a palette of deep grays and expressive blacks, the work captures that silent tension that exists between two people who truly know each other; the intimacy that needs no explanation, and the distance that never fully understands.

Canvas dimensions: 70 x 50 cm (height × width), unframed.

The work is signed in the lower left corner of the canvas.
