Ontake The First Edition 2023 is the inaugural single malt release from the Ontake Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, established by renowned shochu producer Nishi Shuzo in 2019. This limited first release was matured in first-fill Solera sherry butts and bottled at 43% ABV.

Non-chill filtered and presented in a 700ml bottle, this whisky offers a rich and elegant profile shaped by sherry cask maturation.

Tasting notes:
Nose: dried fruits, figs, plums, raisins, citrus peel and gentle spice
Palate: pear compote, apricot, honeyed sweetness, hazelnut and subtle toasted notes
Finish: warm, long and slightly chocolatey with soft spice
