Description from the seller

Rare and refined French faience dinner service from the historic Niderviller manufactory, characterized by delicate hand-painted floral decoration in pink, green and ochre on a pale ivory background.

The service includes a soup tureen with lid, a large oval serving plate, a round service plate, and a series of coordinated plates, forming an ensemble of great elegance and harmony.

The sober and classic shapes are embellished by light moldings and a delicate pink, softly shaded border that frames the surfaces. At the center of each item stands a floral motif composed of blooming roses and small buds, executed with soft, light brushstrokes that recall the 18th-century French decorative tradition reinterpreted according to the romantic taste of the twentieth century.

Particularly elegant is the soup tureen, characterized by a bulbous body, side handles shaped, and a lid topped by an original leaf-shaped knob. The decoration, deliberately essential and well-balanced, highlights the quality of the faience and the fineness of the painting.

The ensemble expresses Niderviller's refined and timeless taste, a manufactory famous for the quality of its ceramics and for its ability to combine tradition, elegance and functionality. Ideal for a representative table or as a prestigious collection service.

The set is complete for 6 people.

Excellent overall condition; the oval tray has some chips. Two appetizer plates have chips visible only from the side, not when the plate is placed on the table.
