The sculpture will be shipped wrapped in bubble wrap inside a plastic padded box and, in turn, placed inside a cardboard box. An authenticity certificate is provided.
With "Egidio metafisico", Paolo Camporese proposes a work of high conceptual density. The title suggests the key to reading: "Egidio" does not represent an individual, but the archetype of the universal man, while the term "metaphysical" declares the intention to go beyond literal reality to investigate the enigma of existence.
As evidenced in the photographs, the sculpture unfolds like a totem of stratified symbols. Camporese blends organic and primordial elements (the abstract ovoid head, the snakes) with geometric modules and expressive masks. This vertical composition stages the deep dualisms of the human condition: the contrast between instinct (the face with the tongue protruding) and rationality, between spirituality and the mental or social structures that surround us.
The use of terracotta, an archaic and elementary material, combined with the moss-green monochrome finish, gives the piece an aura of timelessness. The uniform color lay does not limit the plasticity of the volume, but unifies the various symbolic registers. The result is a contemporary idol, a work from another era capable of catalyzing space, offering a piece of great expressive force for every collector.

Curriculum vitae
Paolo Camporese, lives and works in Padua and for several years has dedicated himself to sculpture; the main material used is terracotta. He learned to model in the 1990s in his native city at the studio of a sculptor enlarging sculptures by famous authors (F. Lèger, S. Dalì).
The use of glazes and engobes he learned at a ceramic workshop in Este.
