"La Mesure #2" stages the ritual of a private tailoring session through a composition structured around an act of professional intimacy taken to its limit. A nude male figure stands motionless on a low platform, arms open, head tilted back with eyes closed in an expression of complete surrender to the procedure.
Behind him, a tailor steadies the body with both hands pressed against the ribcage — a gesture that reads simultaneously as professional support and quiet possession. Kneeling before the figure, a seamstress measures the hip circumference with clinical precision, her attention entirely absorbed by the tape and the number.
The triple folding mirror behind the group multiplies the scene, revealing what the viewer cannot see — the vulnerability of the back exposed while the front is being measured. Three people perform their roles with absolute discipline — the one who holds, the one who measures, and the one who surrenders — yet the silence between them carries more weight than any gesture.
The artwork explores themes such as vulnerability, control, professional intimacy, trust and the tension between the clinical and the personal, rendered through a contemporary figurative visual language with cinematic chiaroscuro and classical compositional structure.

Each artwork additionally receives a manual finishing intervention through an individual hand-applied artistic varnishing process, designed to reinforce luminosity, visual depth and material presence.
