Harry Craddock, long-time head bartender of the famous Savoy Hotel in London, gathered here the recipes that were served in the leading bars of Europe and America during the golden era of cocktails. The title promises more than it can deliver: a comprehensive compendium of cocktails, Rickeys, Daisies, Slings, Fizzes, Juleps, Cobblers, Punches and countless other mixed drinks, complemented by notes on wines, spirits and drinking culture.
