Description from the seller
Vintage mechanical chronograph Hanhart, a historic and prestigious German maison specializing in professional precision instruments. Made with a solid metal case in a classic, timeless design, it features a refined white dial with high readability, black and red numerals, a 1/10 second scale (“1/10 SEC”) and a central minute counter.
Dual numeration
The black numbers indicate the main seconds (1, 3, 5, 7... up to 29).
The red numbers mark even or complementary intervals (32, 34, 36... and 44, 46, 48 etc.), providing a quick reading of elapsed time.
Very detailed peripheral scale
The outer edge is divided into ultra-fine marks for reading to the tenth of a second, confirmed by the inscription:
> “1/10 SEC”
Top central sub-dial
The small dial at the top probably measures the elapsed minutes (up to 30 minutes), with a dedicated hand.
Long central chronograph hand
Slim and very precise, designed for accurate reading of fractions of a second.
“7 Jewels”
Typical indications of a high-quality mechanical chronograph:
- reduce friction
- shockproof = mechanism protected from shocks
Size 55 mm
Weight about 100 g
Light patina on the case back
