The UB804 bass is Ibanez's offering for bassists seeking a portable and practical instrument, with a focus on sound and electronics. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut. The construction is neck-through, and a further portion of maple makes up the remainder of the body. The fingerboard is jatoba, marked by small white dots on the lower edge to help the player orient themselves along the 34-inch scale length. The electronics are active and designed to reproduce all the nuances of the playing in a transparent and dynamic way. There are no different settings to adapt to various playing styles, between pizzicato and arco, but only four individual saddles for an AeroSilk Piezo pickup with sensors specially designed for this model. Volume and tone controls are located on a side of the body and allow you to attenuate the overall output as needed.
