A very interesting and diverse lot consisting of 14 vintage spare spools and containers for classic fishing reels from the 1950s to the 1970s. This lot is an excellent find for collectors or restorers looking to complete their vintage reel sets with original period-correct parts.
The lot includes:
ABU Garcia (Sweden): Two original red "ABU Svängsta" spool containers with matching internal spools (ideal for the iconic ABU closed-face 500-series like the 505, 506, etc., featuring the classic Montage ON / Démontage OFF stamping.
Luxor / Pezon & Michel (France): Two high-quality vintage aluminum spare spools explicitly marked "Luxor – Made in France – Serrage / Desserrage"
Mitchell (France): One original red transparent spool container marked "100% Garantie Mitchell" containing a vintage spare spool (suitable for the Mitchell 300 series).
Various other vintage aluminum and composite spare spools from the same era, some with handwritten line diameter markings from previous use.
Condition:
All items are in good, authentic vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. No cracks in the plastic containers. Please examine the photos closely for a detailed look at the threads and markings.
