ABOUT THE SERIES
Nerves of the Sky arises from observing the electrical infrastructure as an essential part of the contemporary urban landscape.
Poles, cables, transformers, and connection systems, usually perceived as secondary or functional elements, are reinterpreted as organic, architectural, and symbolic structures.
The series explores the tension between order and chaos, between technical planning and uncontrolled growth, between the city’s material presence and the invisible networks that sustain its functioning.
The lines that traverse the compositions can be understood as nerves, roots, maps, connections, or forms of writing, turning urban infrastructure into a metaphor for communication, technological dependence, memory, and fragility.
An upward perspective changes the scale of everyday objects and transforms them into monumental presences, close to a totem, an artificial tree, or a mechanical organism.
The series does not seek to document specific places but to build an emotional image of the city, understood as a body traversed by energy, connections, tensions, and silences.
