Fantastic lot consisting of 8 vintage-size posters dedicated to the poetic and visionary universe of Jean-Michel Folon, among the most refined illustrators and artists of mid-20th-century Europe.
Note: This is a later edition from the 1970s.
The works feature Folon’s typical suspended and metaphysical subjects: solitary figures, sparse landscapes, symbolic eyes, imaginary architectures, and soft chromatics that oscillate between dream and melancholy. An extremely coherent, high-impact set, perfect for collectors as well as upscale interior decoration.
The lot includes posters linked to notable events and galleries such as:
* Galerie de France
* Artel Galerie Genève
* Spoleto Festival 1977
* La Spirale (film)
* Festibel Film
and other iconic subjects of the artist.
