Théâtres divers is generally the second part of the work Comédiens et comédiennes of the French drama critic Francisque Sarcey. This series was published in 1884 and brings together biographical and critical notices devoted to actors and actresses of Parisian theatres other than the Comédie-Française, accompanied by portraits engraved in etching by Léon Gaucherel and Adolphe Lalauze.
The work follows a first series devoted to the Comédie-Française. In Théâtres divers, Sarcey draws portraits of famous artists of his time, mixing biography, personal reminiscences and theatrical criticism. Among the artists studied are notably Jane Essler, Jeanne Samary, Marie Laurent, Léonide Leblanc and Hippolyte Worms.
